St Kilda Cycling Club
Road rides, Campaigns, Other
Currently the club has over 500 members with women making up around 20% of our membership base. Majority of members live locally in the bayside area and they can regularly be seen rolling along Beach Road, climbing mountains, sipping a cino or tearing around the Port Melbourne circuit in summer. Our members are road cyclists, mountain bikers, commuters and general pootlers. In more recent years the club has focused on building its criterium racing season. In 2002 we started with six races for the season and we have since grown to attract around 3,500 riders taking part in our seven month summer racing season. 2008 saw the introduction of a beginners E grade for new riders to test out their skills and to experience the thrill that competition can bring.
