My commitment: Cycling is not only a mode of transport and a recreational activity but also a healthy lifestyle and a way of contributing to a greener planet for our future generations by cutting down emissions. I am a great supporter of safe, accessible and interconnected on road and off road bicycle paths. There is a need for integrating bicycle paths in planning of new growth areas. I really appreciate the contribution by Bicycle Network Victoria in identifying the issues faced by cycling community, identifying hot spots and their contribution for future planning. I will strongly support the Bicycle Projects readily identified by Bicycle Network Victoria and work hard to secure funding and lobby the State Government for their support and funding. Further, I will push to introduce Copenhagen Treatment or similar to provide safe on road bicycle paths through our busy townships. Also I will commit to secure increased funding for maintenance of existing bicycle paths, line marking and signage.
