Narelle Graefe
About this page
Candidate for Moreland (VIC)
Party: Greens
I live in city/suburb: Coburg
My commitment: I have been commuting to work by bike for the last 20 years or so and I have also been a member of Bicycle Network Victoria for many years. For me, cycling is important for both my physical and mental health and I know it is the same for others. It is also of course an environmentally sustainable mode of transport. Infrastructure for cyclists has improved greatly since I first started commuting but there is still some way to go. On Council, the Greens will work to implement the Moreland Bike Strategy by ensuring that funding continues to increase towards improving bike paths, extending existing routes to important destinations, such as schools, activity centres and neighbourhood shops, and creating new routes that run north-south, creating new routes to the CBD and providing alternatives to the Upfield corridor. We have a comprehensive bicycle policy which can be found at http://morelandgreens.co.cc/policies/bicycles/
