My commitment: I was an active cyclist in my youth but age and circumstances have seen me not astride a bicycle for many years. I support the construction of bike paths through urban areas, particularly in parklands and reserves, for the use of families. I am also of the opinion that we need more designated bicycle lanes to be included on our suburban and arterial roads. I am increasingly hearing of cyclists that have been struck by cars due, in part, to the nature of the carrigeway they have been riding on.
