My commitment: A strong supporter of the Mornington Peninsula Bicycle Strategy "Ridesafe" and Skate/BMX strategy, I will continue to advocate for bike infrastructure and amenity that promotes upgrade & repair of roads in particular road shoulders, clearly marked bike lanes and linked shared pathways for on and off road bicycle networks across the Peninsula. A new BMX park will be developed in Dromana and also Mountain Bike riding has become a very popular activity taking in the trails in and through our magnificent Hinterland region. I acknowledge the many volunteers who have spent dedicated hours improving the "off road" accessibility for mountain bike riders in particular. Bike riding is an important form of transport and a healthy, recreational sport. The safety of cyclists is very important to me and community education strategies that create awareness and respect between bike riders, motorists and pedestrians need to be supported and implemented. I am interested in the needs of cyclists on the Peninsula, those on and off road and will continue to advocate for improved infrastructure and amenity for bike users across all ages and abilities.
