My commitment: Our family uses the local bike tracks all the time and know the importance of linking them together. Improving safety for cyclists is vital. My 13 year old son starting riding his bike to school this year and unfortunately when he was 200 metres from his school, he was hit by a car. Thankfully he survived the collision and made a fully recovery. His helmet saved his life. He now walks to school and doesn't want to ride anymore. I think the Ride2School is a great program. If we had more investment is crossing points, links to shared paths and reducing traffic congestion and speed. My son may not have been hit by a car.
