Candidate for Maroondah (VIC)
Party: Independant
I live in city/suburb: Croydon
My commitment: I am a keen cyclist and have completed numerous Great Victorian Bike Rides. In my view the 46 million already committed to tearing down & rebuilding the Ringwood Aquatic Centre could have been better spent on a range of other sport & leisure actvities. Building new and linking existing bike paths are a great example of how some of this money could have been spent. We have some great cycling paths in Maroondah but when I cycle around I get frustrated that many are not linked very well. Having to go onto main roads that at times can be quite dangerous and frustrating for cyclists & drivers too. If elected I commit to lobby for improved cycling paths & cycling lanes in Maroodah.
