I live in city/suburb: Wonga Park

My commitment: To chair/sit on any committee associated with duel carriage paths. To explore my dream plan of complete coverage, but work with all stakeholders in drawing up a real action plan that includes a minimum of 10 kms per annum of additional duel paths, starting NOW. To exceed this. To have a meeting of all stakeholders within my first 2 months of elected office, and make a plan, including my full accountability. This heading was "commitment", well that was mine. I am disgusted, we have to drive, to go for a walk or ride safely. My unlikely election, (didn't realise how corrupt), is to demand accountability from the city of Manningham. I can and will only offer one term, but within this my sole aim is to employ a CEO for our City, whom's Mandate is efficiencies in Council expenditure. There is no reason we cant commit to 20 km's per Yr of bitumen paths, with or without state help. My wife and and I cannot walk or ride with our son in Wonga Park, there is NO infrastructure, the roads are busy/small/dangerous. Children have to be driven to school so as there feet are not damp all day. We complain about obesity, make safe paths for all.... Its really very simple. If a firm commitment was made by Council as per the amount of path to be rolled out and its budget, (over a 4-8 year period), I guarantee, cost per KM could be slashed 5 fold. In my term I wish to be remembered for extreme action. Bike/foot trails, improved gas powered low impact EXPANDED public transport, and facilitating this whilst not increasing rates.
