My commitment: As a student of urban planning and regular public transport user, I believe strongly in the important roles that cycling can play in creating a sustainable and liveable community. Ensuring that bicycle infrastructure is openly available, well maintained and well situated is essential to encouraging more people to cycle to work and school. I will support the expansion of the Parkiteer bicycle cages at Doncaster Park + Ride, better driver education on sharing roadways with cyclists and safer crossings for bicycles at key points. I am also a long time supporter of the extension of the Route 48 tram line and the construction of the Doncaster Rail Line, both of which would allow greater scope for bicycle usage for inter-suburban movement.
