I live in city/suburb: Eltham
My commitment: As an independent candidate for the Swipers Gully Ward I am committed to making Nillumbik even more cycling friendly and enjoyable for recreational and commuting cyclists. Increasing safe bicycle use is a practical, low-cost option to tackling rising traffic congestion on our roads. Improving off road bicycle path connections to transport hubs and shopping centres will encourage more cyclists, as will easily accessible bike parking. Council should also continue to advocate for the extension of the Diamond Creek Trail through to Hurstbridge.
