Candidate for Manningham (VIC)

Party: Independant

I live in city/suburb: Doncaster east

My commitment: I purposefully purchased my home over 15 years ago, backing onto the Koonung Trail, at the time is was a proposed freeway and i have worked with Vicroads, Manningham concil and melbourne Water. To better our tracks, trails and accesses to them for many of those years. My children were raised, from being on the back of my bike, to being able to ride their own often. I walk down there now and I am an active person and enjoy seeing those who even catch trains around with their bikes a great asset to our lifestlyes in the whole of Melbourne. This also relieves the conjestion on our roads and it is great for the enviorment. As we get more people I believe bike riding will grow to be more of a regular means of transport for many people. Also assisting with the growing health problems within our communities. Bike trails have many benefits and will need to grow throughout Manningham as well as the great Melbourne area.
