I live in city/suburb: Mernda
My commitment: I commit to voting at Council to continuing to increase the number of bike lanes on our roads, though the implementation of a program whereby all local roads that are to be resurfaced are reviewed for the suitability for bike lanes. Further to this I will ensure council identifies main roads within the municipality that don't already have bike lanes and applies to VicRoads' Bicycle Facilities Program to progressively have bike lanes implemented. I also commit to the installation of facilities to secure bicycles at all council facilities, shopping centres and other locations of significance within the municipality.
