I live in city/suburb: Brighton
My commitment: I am an Independent candidate for the Northern Ward of the City of Bayside. I will work towards a clear and viable strategy to facilitate the increase of cycling in Bayside. I believe that an important concept in this strategy is to provide safe options for travel for everyone who uses the road. I understand that vehicles and bicycles have a need to share the roads, but this has to be done in a safe manner. I fully endorse providing clearly marked bicycle lanes on all key routes in Bayside. I will work to promote the principles of the Ride2School program, in order to ensure the safety of children. I would encourage an active lifestyle to the community; highlighting bicycles as a means of transportation, healthy living and personal enjoyment. I believe the best solution will provide a mutually beneficial outcome to provide safer roads and promote the health and well being of the community.
