I live in city/suburb: St Kilda
My commitment: Dear Bicycle Network Victoria member, I am standing in the Junction Ward of the City of Port Phillip which contains some of Melbourne most utilised bike paths in St Kilda Rd and Fitzroy St. I believe i qualify as a cyclist having once - pre mortgage, career and responsibility, ridden a bicycle from Tasmania to Darwin in a 6 month, 8000km journey. I am familiar with the constant car/bike conflict and aware that sensible, cost efficient and well thought out solutions are required to keep all parties safe and moving, and with minimal delays to both parties. From developers planning new building's, to governments planning new roads and infrastructure, careful consideration needs to be given to the needs of cyclists at both ends of their journey, and the need to keep cyclists safe as they undertake it.
